Metalock São Paulo recently conducted an NR 11 training session – Transport, Handling, Storage and Movement of Materials, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to safety, professional development and risk prevention in the workplace.

Regulatory Standard No. 11 (NR 11) establishes requirements for the safe operation of equipment used in material handling, such as forklifts, overhead cranes, electric hoists, pallet trucks and cranes, and provides guidance on proper procedures for transporting, storing and handling materials. Its purpose is to ensure that employees work consciously and responsibly, reducing exposure to accidents and preserving the physical integrity of everyone involved.

During this type of training, employees receive theoretical and practical guidance on:

  • Proper operation of material-handling equipment
  • Routine inspections and fault identification
  • Signaling and communication during maneuvers
  • Safety rules and operational limits
  • Preventive procedures to avoid accidents and equipment damage

The training also emphasizes the importance of full attention, strict adherence to procedures and proper use of PPE, reinforcing the safety culture that Metalock Brasil promotes across all its units.

In addition to increasing compliance with Ministry of Labor standards, NR 11 training contributes directly to operational efficiency, risk reduction and improvement of daily routines, benefiting clients, employees and the entire production chain.

Metalock Brasil continues to invest in ongoing training and increasingly safer work environments, aligned with best practices in the Marine, Offshore and Industrial sectors.
