Metalock Brasil, a company renowned for its expertise in cold stitching repair services, was recently contracted by a major paper manufacturer. The goal was to repair a suction cylinder that exhibited significant structural issues.

During a technical inspection, it was detected that the suction sleeve of the cylinder had eight internal cracks, ranging from 10 to 250 millimeters. To ensure precision in identifying these cracks, Metalock Brasil’s team conducted a Liquid Penetrant Test (LP).

Based on the inspection results and the technical visit, it was determined that a cold stitching repair using the exclusive Metalock® technology was necessary. This method was chosen for its effectiveness and reliability in situations involving structural failures in industrial components.

The cracks were repaired using Metalock Key® keys, a proven solution for restoring the integrity of damaged components. After applying the keys, final finishing was performed, which involved removing all burrs, ensuring a smooth and flawless surface.
